NCWC Adult and Professional Studies
Welcome to NCWC
A successful college career starts with a strong foundation. NC Wesleyan was founded in 1956 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, by the Methodist church. In 2015 and 2016, Wesleyan was recognized as the fastest growing private college in North Carolina by NC Independent Colleges & Universities, and we are working to keep that pace. We are growing our student population, our faculty and curriculum, and our athletic programs. You can believe … there’s something for you today at NC Wesleyan.
About NCWC Adult Studies
Our nonresidential baccalaureate degree programs are designed to meet the educational needs of adult learners. The Office of Adult & Professional Studies allows mature women and men to tailor their degree to meet personal, career, and life goals. Because mature adults are highly motivated and capable of self-directed learning, adult learners can take advantage of 5-week, 8-week, hybrid, and online classes, as well as opportunities for earning credit through alternative options such as CLEP and DSST testing. Whether you want to be more marketable in your organization, career, or life in general get the competitive advantage with NC Wesleyan’s Adult Studies degree programs.
North Carolina Wesleyan College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404-679-4500 for questions about the accreditation of North Carolina Wesleyan College. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction grants North Carolina teaching certificates to graduates of North Carolina Wesleyan who have completed the prescribed certification program and who are recommended by the College. The teacher education program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Classes start every 8 weeks….get started today.
“Some students had to put life ahead of their education several years ago and our program provides an opportunity for them to attain their educational goals.”
