Student Organizations

All students are encouraged to get involved on campus. The following is a list of registered student organizations on campus. For more information about a specific group, please contact the Office of Student Activities. Wesleyan students also have the opportunity to create their own student organization. For new student organization guidelines, please contact the Office of Student Activities.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Tau Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 12, 2009. Tau Gamma chapter is a part of an international organization of college women who are diligently pursuing the purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, and to be of service to all mankind.

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first African-American Greek letter organization.  Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, INc. was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Black Student Association
The purpose of BSA is to create cultural awareness among the members of the Wesleyan Community by providing educational programs.

Commuter Student Association
The purpose of CSA is to make a bond between past, present, and future commuters. It is also the intention of this organization to create and build a relationship between off-campus students, in which they can help support one another in three different categories that they encounter while commuting to school: Education, social, and financial.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Founded on the campus of Howard Unviersity on January 13, 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. strives fro change.  Based on the foundation of sisterhood, scholarship, and service, Delta Sigma Theta is impacting lives and changing communities.  Membership in Delta Sigma Theta is a life-changing experience for young ladies who are destined for excellence.

Greek Council
The primary purpose of this organization is to bring together its member organizations through the following means: Increasing awareness and knowledge of each member organization, promoting community service projects that support the College and Rocky Mount community, encouraging cooperation and developing a support network among the member organizations, and fostering cooperation among Greek organizations and any other student organizations.

Habitat for Humanity
The mission of the Rocky Mount Area Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty and homelessness in the Rocky Mount Area, and to make decent housing a matter of conscience in our community.

Men of Honor
The purpose of this organization is to promote brotherhood amongst men, and to advance the image f the College.  MOH was founded to help improve the student body, along with improving the community in any way possible.  The organization will focus on the youth, because without the youth, there is no future.

North Carolina Criminal Justice Association
This organization is an affiliate of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Association that aids in the professionalism of students and encourages students to be active in the Criminal Justice major.

Psychology Club
The Psychology Club is open to people that major in Psychology and/or have an interest in the field. We follow a constitution that was created by members and executive board. Members have taken the responsibility of running the club and its successful events.

Refuge Campus Ministries
Refuge Campus Ministries allows students to learn and grow in their walk with Jesus Christ. With a laid-back and friendly atmosphere, students commune together to enjoy food and fellowship. Our goal is to spread the love of Jesus with the campus of NC Wesleyan and beyond its serpentine walls.

Rotaract Club

The North Carolina Wesleyan College Rotaract Club is a Rotary-sponsored service club for men and women aged 18-30. The Rotaract Club fosters leadership and responsible citizenship, encourages high ethical standards in business, and promotes international understanding and peace. It is open to students of any major.

Sigma Alpha Pi (National Society of Leadership & Success)
The National Society of Leadership and Success is a community of leaders dedicated to building leaders to build a better world.

SIM-W is an organization for the young, sophisticated, mature woman.  This organization is where young women will have the chance to grow mentally and intellectually.  The SIM-W represents three things; leadership, academics, and growth.  This organization also believes in success.

Student League of Academic Prestige (SLAP)
The Student League of Academic Prestige, or SLAP, is a club exclusive to those students who participate in the Honors Program.

Student North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE)
SNCAE helps to inform those enrolled in teh Education program.  We help organize students by offering workshops to prepare them for future tasks.  We are also there to support all of our students.

Students for Political Action
North Carolina Wesleyan College Students for Political Involvement Club will work to expand knowledge of political participation and increase involvement within the political community. This club will allow students who are interested in politics an outlet to socialize, interact, and network with other students and organizations of shared interests and goals.

Visions of BEAUTY
Visions of BEAUTY is a performance modeling troupe that competes in competitions and hosts an annual show every spring in which we showcase our talents and our variations of beauty. B.E.A.U.T.Y. stands for Becoming Elegant and Unique through You. We strive to remain active on campus and within the Rocky Mount community.

Voices of Triumph
A gospel choir that serves to minister to the Wesleyan College students, faculty, and staff and provide a worship atmosphere in order to spread the gospel on and off campus throughout the community.
