Richard Allsbrook

Visiting Instructor of Criminal Justice

M.S. in Criminal Justice -East Carolina University

B.S.P. Criminal Justice – School of Social Work, East Carolina University

Bringing over twenty-five years of experience with the Greenville Police Department, North Carolina Wesleyan welcomes Mr. Richard Allsbrook as a visiting instructor of criminal justice. Most recently working as a career law enforcement officer, he has also served as a Special Duty United States Marshal and has worked with state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Having completed over nine hundred hours in a variety of law enforcement training, Allsbrook is looking forward to spreading his knowledge to Wesleyan students. He has worked as an adjunct faculty and guest lecturer at North Carolina Wesleyan since 2011 but is eager to engage more aspiring criminal justice majors.

“I’m most excited to get to know each of my students, inspiring, supporting and sharing my knowledge with future criminal justice professionals,” he said. “I believe that by investing in students first, they will become engaged and take ownership in their learning process.”

In addition to teaching classes, Allsbrook values his faith and family. He plays the drums at his church and is a lover of music and sports.

North Carolina Wesleyan is excited to bring Mr. Allsbrook on board and looks forward to his arrival.
