Rocky Mount, NC—Local businesses, organizations, and churches that want to introduce themselves to hundreds of students and staff at North Carolina Wesleyan College may begin planning now to advertise free of charge at the college’s Rock the Mount event on Monday, August 25.
“We expect to attract even more vendors to campus this year than last year, when we had about 30 exhibitors,” said Tammy Robinson, coordinator of Rock the Mount. “This annual event is an excellent way for local businesses and organizations to make themselves known to Wesleyan personnel and students—especially the large number of new students and several new faculty that the college is expecting this fall.
“Most Wesleyan students will be returning to campus on Sunday, August 24. Classes will start on Tuesday. So Rock the Mount will be the main attraction on Monday from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m.,” Robinson said. “Exhibitors also can enjoy a complimentary lunch with students at a community cookout next to the exhibit area. We’re expecting a large turnout. This will be a very festive occasion and one that will help introduce the Wesleyan community to the Rocky Mount community. We hope to see this Rock the Mount event grow larger every year.”
The college will provide six-foot folding tables and chairs for the exhibitors at no cost. Vendors may set up their displays on the lawn in front of the Dunn Center, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the morning of August 25. The number of display spaces is limited. All who would like to participate must register online at http://www.rockthemountncwc.eventbrite.com. For questions, contact Tammy Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 252-985-5266.
