Rocky Mount, N.C.—Two new vice presidents recently joined North Carolina Wesleyan College’s administrative staff.
J. Edward Naylor, a lifelong resident of the Twin Counties, has been named Vice President of Student Affairs and Legal Affairs. After graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in business education, he began his professional career as a teacher and coach in the Edgecombe County Schools. Later he earned his juris doctor degree from North Carolina Central University and has practiced law in Rocky Mount for more than 22 years.
At Wesleyan, Naylor will be responsible for daily operations and direction in the area of student life, and will serve as Dean of Students. In addition, he will assist the college with legal affairs.
Naylor grew up in Edgecombe County and has long been involved in many local civic and sports organizations as well as Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, where he serves on the board of directors. He and his wife, Sheryl Evans Naylor, have two children. She is a 1992 graduate of NC Wesleyan.
Also joining Wesleyan’s administrative staff, Judy Rollins has accepted the position of Vice President of Enrollment Services and Marketing. She will be responsible for both the Admissions Office and the Financial Aid Office, in addition to her marketing role.
Rollins graduated from Meredith College with a degree in business administration with a concentration in communications. Also she earned her MBA from Campbell University. She brings to her new position more than 25 years of marketing experience, including brand management, advertising, public relations, market research, and digital marketing.
Rollins and her husband, Jay Rollins, and their five children live in Wilson and are members of Nashville United Methodist Church.
