Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to take part in NC Wesleyan’s 5K RUN/WALK FOR A CAUSE on March 22. The event will start at 9:00 a.m. on the Wesleyan campus in front of the Taylor Center. Proceeds will benefit several causes: Wesleyan’s men’s and women’s tennis program, the Exercise Science Student Organization, BuildAfrica.org, and the NC Lyme Disease Foundation.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, healthy snacks, Gatorade, and a chance to win raffle prizes from community sponsors such as Hibbetts Sports, Planet Fitness, Subway, and others.
Pre-registration begins March 3 and offers discounted entry fees. The early registration entry fee, which applies through Monday, March 17, is $7 for students and $13 for non-students. After March 17, the entry fee will be $8 for students and $15 for non-students.
