Rocky Mount, NC North Carolina Wesleyan College has announced plans for the annual Scholarship Day Competition for selected incoming freshmen to be held on February 18, 2013 at the Rocky Mount campus. Wesleyan is providing an opportunity for qualified students to earn prestigious financial awards in varying amounts that may equal up to full tuition per year for four years.
Beginning with check-in at 8 am, Scholarship Day includes classroom visits, individual and group interviews with selection committee members, a special luncheon, and the last activity of an optional campus tour at 2:30 pm. Selected first-year students, who have been accepted to NCWC for the 2013 fall semester will be invited to attend.
To qualify as a Scholarship Day participant, a student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, along with a score of 900 SAT or 19 ACT. The selected students will receive an invitation from the college. Each participant must submit an essay and respond to Felicia A. Lynch in the Office of Admissions no later than February 1, 2013. The NCWC offers a rolling admissions process; however, scholarship funds are limited. NCWC officials are encouraging students to submit their application information as soon as possible to be considered for an invitation to Scholarship Day and the chance to earn one of these scholarships.
