NC Wesleyan Library Opens To Braswell Memorial Library Cardholders
Rocky Mount, NC — Finding a good mystery novel or some other popular book to enjoy just got easier. Braswell Memorial Library is now working with North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Elizabeth Braswell Pearsall Library to develop a collection of popular reading books located at Wesleyan’s library.
In exchange for Braswell’s help with building the collection at Wesleyan, the College will provide free borrowing privileges for area residents with active library cards who are in good standing at Braswell Memorial Library.
The Braswell-NC Wesleyan Collection will focus on contemporary fiction and non-fiction and will provide a wide range of titles that will appeal to college students and area residents.
“The collection is expected to grow; it currently includes mysteries, romance, science fiction, adventure, suspense, inspirational, horror, and historical fiction as well as recent non-fiction best-sellers,” said Kathy Winslow, Wesleyan’s library director. “Books will circulate to the public for two weeks, and the public will also be able to check out books from the main library stacks. We hope that people in the community will visit our beautiful library addition and enjoy using this new popular reading collection.”
Wesleyan recently opened a 12,000-square-foot library addition that provides high-tech study space and an Internet Café. The library will be open 8 a.m.–midnight Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m.–midnight Sunday for the rest of the spring semester, which ends May 8. Over the summer, library hours will vary. Check the library website for more information: http://library.ncwc.edu/.
