Southern Bank Foundation Gives $5,000 For Library

Rocky Mount, NC — The Southern Bank Foundation recently made a gift of $5,000 toward a pledge of $25,000 to North Carolina Wesleyan College to support expansion and renovation of the College’s Elizabeth Braswell Pearsall Library. Wesleyan’s library addition opened in April and provides 12,000 feet of new space for student learning. The addition also includes a popular reading collection now available to anyone in good standing with Rocky Mount’s Braswell Memorial Library.

“Wesleyan appreciates Southern Bank’s ongoing commitment to fulfilling this important and generous pledge,” said Malcolm Woodall, Wesleyan’s vice president of development. “This gift helps Wesleyan stay up-to-date with technological and other academic improvements and demonstrates Southern Bank’s commitment to the betterment of our community and region.”
