Tar River Symphonic Band-Journey through Italy!

The Band’s second concert this season will focus on the Music and Sounds from the Italian peninsula!  The band will offer several marches reflecting the music as we perform Napoli and the Florentiner March.  A portion of the concert will highlight the familiar overtures, William Tell of Rossini and the Force of Destiny of Verdi.  The eruption of a colcano will be featured as the band presents Frank Ticheli’s Vesuvius!  Don’t worry, we will stop from desert on the way back to Rocky Mount.  Perhaps some gelato?
