Transfer Requirements

  • Earn over 12 college credits (Course level 100 or above) 
  • Achieve our average G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher
  • Provide an official transcript from each postsecondary institution attended

A student wih less than 12 college credits must apply as a freshman

How to Apply

  • Complete our free application online of request one to be mailed by calling our admissions office at 252-985-5200.
  • Submit official transcripts for each institution you've attended.

Financial Aid

Ninety-eight percent of NCWC students receive financial aid. Institutional aid is awarded based on academic performance. North Carolina community college graduates with a 2-year degree are eliible for the 2+ Wesleyan Program.

  • Complete your FAFSA-Free Application for Student Aid. Use school code- 002951
  • Request tax transcripts if applicable
  • Apply for Direct Plus Loans
  • Military receive a 10% discount off the cost of tuition and books

Transfer Scholarships

  • Transfer Award- $7,500 (GPA requirement of 2.5-2.9)
  • Transfer II Award- $10,500 (GPA requirement of 3.0-3.4)
  • Transfer III Award- $13,500 (GPA requirement of 3.5 and above)

Students transfering with an Associate's Degree will receive an extra $1,000 in scholarships with our W+2 indentifier)

Accepted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to North Carolina Wesleyan College! Make sure you complete the following to secure your Bishop spot: 

  • Submit enrollment deposit for tuition and housing $150
  • Complete and submit your housing and health forms
  • Attend New Student Orientation
  • Verify your FAFSA has been completed and Financial Aid documents have been submitted 
  • Visit the campus if you have not done so

New Student Orientation 

This is a good way to connect with peers, staff and faculty. You will have the opportunity to register for classes and meet your advisor. You will receive your student identification card and move into your dorm room if you are residing on campus and visit our bookstore.

Transferring from a Community College:

North Carolina Wesleyan participates in the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement with the North Carolina Community College System. If you attend a community college, follow the college transfer curriculum, regardless of your intended major, to ensure your receive the maximum transfer credit for your college courses. You may be eligible to transfer up to 64 semester hours frmo a 2-year college. If you complete a 2-year degree, you will have met our general education requirements.
