Types of Financial Aid
Funding for an education at NCWC is available from federal, state, and private sources. To receive federal and state funding one must apply and qualify for financial aid. Other sources such as local, private, and institutional are awarded on the basis of other criteria, particularly academic achievement.
ATTENTION: ALL ADP STUDENTS: Adult Degree Students are only eligible for NCLTG, Federal Pell Grant, and Stafford Loans.
Financial Aid at NCWC consists of the following:
- Grants-"gift money" from federal, state, and endowed college funds.
- Scholarships-"gift money" that is awarded on the basis of academic achievement (merit scholarships) or a combination of academic performance and financial need.
- Loans-money one can borrow from college loan programs and outside lenders.
- Jobs-money one can earn through Federal Work Study on campus.
