SPECIAL NOTE: Graduation is a joyous and special occasion.  It is a time for celebration and merriment.  You are reminded, however, that Commencement is a formal College function.  You are requested to maintain the order and solemnity of the proceedings.  It is a courtesy we owe to each other and to our guests.

DIPLOMAS

Everyone who crosses the stage will receive his or her diploma if officially graduating.  If you have earned academic honors, they will be printed on your diploma.  Academic Honors are estimated at the beginning of the semester based on past academic performance.  If this estimate is incorrect, no diploma will be included in your diploma cover and your diploma will be reordered at no cost to you.  All financial obligations to the College must be cleared in order to receive your diploma at the Commencement Exercises.  If not, your diploma will be mailed to you once your financial obligations are satisfied.  Please make sure that the Registrar and Student Accounts/Business Office has your correct mailing address.

PHOTOGRAPHY

A professional photographer from Chappell Photography will take your picture as you walk across the stage during Commencement.  The pictures will be available to purchase through Chappell.  The contact for Chappell is www.chappell.com or 800-424-3686.  Chappell is independent of the College and all questions regarding photographs should be directed to them.  The use of personal cameras and video equipment is permitted.  Photographs and video should be taken from the individual’s seat.  Do not stand in the aisle or make your way to the stage to take pictures or photographs of graduates.  Please be mindful of the size of the video equipment being used.  Equipment should not block the view of other guests.
