Franklin E. Coats, Director of Development/Interim Director of Advancement
Mr. Coats joined the Advancement staff in December 2010 with a special commitment to NC Wesleyan College. He is a 1987 graduate of the college and earned the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. After a successful career in banking, he returned to his roots to work at the college and is responsible for advancing the Wesleyan mission through the annual Days for Wesleyan and a variety of other external efforts.
Mr. Coats was recognized as an honorary lifetime member of the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce for outstanding membership development. He has served on various non-profit boards and currently serves on the boards for Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army. He volunteers as a coach for various youth athletic teams and enjoys golf in his limited spare time.
Known to his friends as Eddie, he and his wife Polly have 2 daughters and live in Rocky Mount where they attend First United Methodist Church.
