David E. Walker serves North Carolina Wesleyan College as a member of faculty for the Business Division. He has also been recently appointed as the Director of The Eastern North Carolina Center for Business & Entrepreneurship. Walker is an experienced corporate executive, educator, and entrepreneur. His corporate career included 18 years in the area of captive finance, many years of which he operated in positions such as Vice President, General Manager and Director.
Walker continues to work as an entrepreneur and has been an award-winning multiple unit franchise owner who has helped others become self-employed. Also an independent consultant, he facilitates for large corporations and universities in the areas of leadership, empowerment, and team building.
In addition, Walker has taught multiple business related courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and continues to teach courses in the areas of entrepreneurship, finance, leadership and business. Walker will also be the primary facilitator for a new program entitled “FastTrac New Venture” which is focused towards helping Veterans to develop new entrepreneurial ventures. This program was developed by the Kauffman Foundation and is a new joint venture between the Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce and Wesleyan.
