Students choosing North Carolina for an education degree, or a social science degree, come to North Carolina Wesleyan because of both the scope and depth of our degree programs. For those who take an active interest in serving, informing, teaching or leading humanity, our programs present an absorbing and vigorous foundation for a livelihood and for life.
North Carolina Wesleyan’s education degree and social science degree studies prepare learners for adaptable roles in a wide variety of professions in both the public and private sector. Students can choose from Education and Social Sciences’ academic programs in Education, History, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. To fully equip the graduate, our programs emphasize effective communication and analysis of information, critical thinking, writing and speaking skills and practical experience. And, at North Carolina Wesleyan, our Education and Social Science students can also participate in viewing social problems from well-informed cultural and global perspectives suited to the demands of a changing world.
