Estimation of Energy Expenditure
Walking exercise*
I. If you exercised outside, enter the duration of your exercise in minutes. Than, estimate the distance that you covered throughout the exercise session (in miles).
II. If you exercised on a treadmill, enter average speed, elevation of the treadmill and the duration of the exercise session.
*Most accurate for speeds of 1.9 – 3.7 mph.
Running exercise**
**Most accurate for speeds greater than 5 mph but appropriate for speeds as low as 3 mph if the individual is truly walking or running.
