THE VISUAL ART MINOR AT NORTH CAROLINA WESLEYAN COLLEGE
In a world that is saturated with mass media, the individual who is better prepared, and more confident in making decisions that require interpretation of visual media or the production of visuals, will be a more competitive professional. Some experience in creative problem solving with art media and techniques can build confidence. Studio art classes offer hands-on learning where the student can test ideas and personal creative expression with practical techniques using two and three dimensional media. As electives art studio classes can either be a student's "fun class" or the open door to an 18 hour minor. At Wesleyan accessible and popular art media are used, whether the medium is traditional liek pen and ink illustration and watercolor or a computer.
