Student Activities is an integral part of the college experience serving
as a cornerstone of out-of-class learning. These learning experiences
reinforce classroom lessons to develop a well-rounded student that has a
rewarding personal life, good citizenship, productive career and makes a
difference on campus and in his/her community. Our Student Activities
reflect the diverse interests and activities of our student community by
promoting resources and programs that offer experience in the
development of leadership skills, critical thinking, analytical
reasoning, making ethical decisions, making social connections, gaining
experience to potential career fields, interacting with faculty, staff,
alumni, business leaders and enhancing his/her resume.The Hartness Student Center is the focal point for Student Activities on campus and it houses the Student Government Association Office (SGA), Camps Activities Board Office (CAB), the Decree Newspaper office, the Dissenter Yearbook office, and the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Programs, Director of the Hartness Student Center Office. The Director is available to work with student leaders to help them operate successfully and responsibly within the framework of the colleges mission and polices and to serve as a resource person to all students. All rules and regulations set forth in the Student Handbook pertain to organizations as well as individual students. Some of the policies, which specifically apply to organizations, are outlined below. NCWC reserves the right to update/edit materials at will.
