Faculty and staff may create personal web pages. FrontPage2002 is the supported web package for faculty and staff.  This program should be installed on all public lab computers. Staff and faculty, please contact the IS staff at x-5000 if you would like FrontPage installed on your office computer.

Here are the current guidelines for personal web page creation:

  1. Read NC Wesleyan's Network and Computer Policy
    Personal Pages conflicting with this policy will be disabled.
  2. Read the (DRAFT) HTML Guidlines and Policy.
  3. Contact the webmaster webmaster@ncwc.edu   to request that a FrontPage web be set up in your name.
  4. See our FrontPage Basics for information on using FrontPage2002 to create your pages.
  5. Please contact the Webmaster when you are ready to have your pages linked from our index.

How do I get access to the World Wide Web?

Access to the World Wide Web is supported in two ways.

  • In order to have graphics capability you must use Netscape Navigator or Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, or a similar browser program on your local computer.

How do I go to a specific web site if I know the address?

Use the following syntax for each address:

http://(the web page you want)
Example: http://www.ncwc.edu

You can simply highlight the URL given at the top of the web window, and type in the new address.
