Spyware Removal

STEP 4: Download Ad-aware SE

Click on the link to DOWNLOAD Ad-aware SE. Click RUN (see Figure 1 below). Then you will see another security propmt, just click RUN again. (See Figure 2 below)

The Ad-aware Installer should appear and you should see an installation screen. At this point just continue to click next until the software is installed. Then, just click finish to launch Ad-Aware. At launch Ad-Aware will prompt you to update if the spyware definitions are out of date. Just follow the on-screen prompts to perform the update. You should see the following screen after the update. (See Figure 3) If you need to update manually, just click the Check for Updates Now link indicated in Figure 3.

Click the "Check for updates now " link to get all available updates to Ad-aware (see Figure 3 above).

Click connect to perform an ad-aware update (see Figure 4).

Select "OK" to download and install the update (see Figure 5).

Once Ad-aware has updated click the finish button (see Figure 6).

Select the next button to allow ad-aware to scan your computer for spyware (see Figure 7).

Once the scan has completed click next to view the results (see Figure 8).

Check to ensure that all items are selected for removal (all boxes are checked) and click next (see Figure 9).

You will be prompted to remove the spyware you have selected.  Click "OK" (see Figure 10).
