North Carolina Wesleyan College seeks applications for a full-time, tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Education to begin January 2004. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. with a specialty in Elementary Education is required. Additional experience and graduate study in reading and special education is preferred. Candidates must have public school teaching experience and be eligible for North Carolina teaching licensure. Teaching responsibilities will include offering courses at North Carolina Wesleyan’s main campus and at its Adult Degree Program sites in Raleigh and Goldsboro. North Carolina Wesleyan College, an undergraduate liberal arts college emphasizing teaching excellence and personal attention, is located in Rocky Mount and serves approximately 1,800 students when including adult degree students in the evening college. Faculty are expected to engage students through the use of innovative instructional strategies and technology. Initial applications should include: a letter of application, a resume, copies of transcripts, and three letters of recommendation addressing academic qualifications and effective teaching experience.
