Rocky Mount, N.C.— North Carolina Wesleyan College is pleased to announce that the Southern Bank Foundation has made a gift of $25,000 to the College to support a 12,000-foot addition to The Elizabeth Braswell Pearsall Library. Groundbreaking for the expansion project is expected to take place in late May. The renovated library will add space for academic and technological improvements, including a High-Tech Instructional Lab, a Media and Special Collections Area, an Internet Café, and many other improvements.

“Wesleyan is very grateful to Southern Bank for this generous gift that will support our library addition,” said Malcolm Woodall, Wesleyan’s vice president of development. “This gift shows Southern Bank’s dedication to higher education and to the betterment of our community and region. We sincerely appreciate Southern Bank’s interest in helping Wesleyan improve its learning environment by making this gift for our library project.”
