Rocky Mount, N.C.—The Universal Leaf Foundation has pledged $50,000 to North Carolina Wesleyan College to help support a library expansion project that will nearly double the size of the existing library. Clay Frazier, president of Universal Leaf North America, US (left) met with Wesleyan President Ian Newbould recently to discuss plans for the approximately 12,000-square-foot construction project, set to begin in the spring. The existing Elizabeth Braswell Pearsall Library, built in 1965 as one of Wesleyan’s original structures, will be renovated when the addition is completed. “Wesleyan is grateful for this support,” said Dr. Newbould. “Universal Leaf’s support for higher education in North Carolina is an excellent example of corporate citizenship.”
