Rocky Mount,
N.C.—Mark Stevens, J.D., associate professor
of justice studies at North Carolina
Wesleyan College, has been named director of
Wesleyan’s Adult Degree Program (ADP) in
Rocky Mount.

Building.
Wesleyan offers ADP courses on Rocky Mount’s
main campus and also in Goldsboro and the
Triangle. Courses are designed to meet the
educational needs of adults, who may work
toward a bachelor’s degree part-time or
full-time. Courses are offered in the
evenings and on weekends and include
accelerated and online formats.
Stevens
brings a wealth of teaching and
administrative experience to his new
position. Retired from the U.S. Marines as a
Lt. Colonel and a military judge, and with
more than 25 years of military experience,
he is considered an expert in all aspects of
military law. He has been interviewed by
radio talk show hosts and Associated Press
news agencies, and has appeared on CNN and
MSNBC’s “The Abrams Report.”
An attorney at military law, Stevens also
serves as pre-law advisor for Wesleyan
students and faculty advisor for Wesleyan’s
chapter of the National Criminal Justice
Honor Society.
Stevens earned his B.A. degree at West
Virginia Wesleyan College and his J.D. at
Western State University. He has been a
professor at Wesleyan since 2001.
