Golf Classic at Ford’s Colony—Rocky Mount

This year’s Homecoming golf classic will be the first event ever to be played at the beautiful new championship golf course at Ford’s Colony—Rocky Mount. All proceeds from this fundraiser will support academic programs, athletics, and student scholarships. The event includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, free video instruction prior to the tournament, boxed lunch, special goody bag, awards reception, and refreshments both on the course and following the tournament provided by Carolina Eagle Distributing.

 

Saturday, September 29

 

Breakfast at the President’s Home—for alumni, guests, Admissions Open House visitors—9:00-10:00

Alumni Baseball & Softball Games—at Bauer Field and Edge Field—10:00 a.m.

Campus Carnival—Noon – 2:00, Rocky Mount Athletic Complex, where the football game will be played.

Campus Tours—10:30 a.m.

Campus Picnic—on the front lawn beneath the pines—11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Battling Bishops Club Member Picnic—tent at Rocky Mount Athletic Complex—Noon-1:00

25^th Class Reunion

Members of the Class of 1982 are especially encouraged to attend this 25^th Reunion Homecoming to rekindle old friendships and remember good times from 1982. Homecoming Awards Dinner—A Celebration of Excellence

Saturday, 6:30 p.m., Dunn Center

Homecoming excitement concludes with this major event honoring outstanding alumni. Kevin Kilroy, ’76, will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award; James Bell, ’98, the Alumni Achievement Award; and the Henderson Family, the Wesleyan Family Award. Inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame will be Vernon Bradley, ’80, tennis; Rob Donnenwirth, women’s soccer coach, 1994-98; Jeff Hood, ’84, basketball; and Patricia Parker Stewart, ’95, soccer.
