Rocky Mount, N.C.—North Carolina Wesleyan College played host to 41 United Methodist Church ministers from around the state who took part in a Local Pastors Study School held May 17 – 25. Pastors attending the event included some who are being assigned to their first appointments and others who are serving as interim pastors and second-career pastors. Daily activities began with a morning devotion in Wesleyan’s Leon Russell Chapel, followed by instruction in the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. Topics included the code of ethics, evangelism in the local church, administration and polity, theology, and United Methodist doctrine, among other considerations. The ministers stayed in residence halls on campus.
