Famous Nutritionist Franceen Friefeld Speaks At

Free "Business On The Move" Coffee Event

 

      Bestselling author, dietician, and nutrition consultant Franceen Friefeld will speak on “Obesity and the Bottom Line” at a free “Business On The Move Friday Morning Coffee” on October 27 at 8:00 AM at North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Dunn Center. The presentation is part of Wesleyan’s 50th Anniversary Speakers Series, with Friefeld’s talk sponsored by the College, Sodexho, and the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce.

     Reservations are requested at 252-985-5140 or smcauliffe@ncwc.edu. although there is no admission charge.

     Franceen Friefeld is a professional dietician, foodservice, and nutrition consultant whose revolutionary programs offer innovative techniques to deliver wellness programs to North American organizations. She has served on government councils on fighting obesity and its associated escalating healthcare costs. Her ground-breaking advice has improved the eating habits of thousands.

     She is co-author of The Healthy Weigh, featured on bestsellers in 1994, and most recently Fill Up Not Out: A healthy approach to weight control for life,” rated one of five top self-help nutrition books.

     With over 20 years of experience, she is a recognized expert in providing consulting services and motivational speaking engagements. In 2004 she led a discussion at the Annual Legislative Conference at the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to discuss obesity and inactivity as the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States.

     Friefeld has published articles for consumer and trade magazines and has appeared on radio and television talk shows throughout North America. She is the former television host for an internationally syndicated healthy cooking show, “The Weigh To Go.”
