North Carolina Wesleyan College will celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of its founding in 1956 at a Founders’ Day ceremony on Wednesday, October 25, at 11:00 a.m. in Minges Auditorium of the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

 

Guests will include invited speaker Judge J. Phil Carlton. Judge Carlton served as chairman of Wesleyan’s board of trustees from 1974 to 1995, providing strong leadership for the College throughout difficult early days and positioning the young College for growth and increased service to the region.

 

Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff also will take part in the program, which will include music and presentation of service awards and recognitions.
