October 8, 2003 Lisa Tyson Brice Inducted Into North Carolina Wesleyan College Athletic Hall of Fame Rocky Mount, N.C.Lisa Tyson Brice, a stellar basketball player who graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 1994, was inducted into Wesleyans Athletic Hall of Fame during the Colleges homecoming festivities on October 9. Brice was her teams Most Valuable Player three times. She was also named All-Conference twice (1992-93 and 1993-94) and was the NCAA Division III Dixie Conference (now USA South) Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player in 1994. As a senior, she led her team to the Regular Season Title and the Conference Tournament Championship on the way to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. She left Wesleyan as the schools all-time leading scorer, with 1471 points, and rebounder, with 785. She now ranks second on the scoring list and remains Wesleyans top rebounder. North Carolina Wesleyan College is an independent, four-year, liberal arts college located on a 200-acre wooded site in Rocky Mount, N.C. Founded in 1956 and affiliated with The United Methodist Church, the College enrolls just under 1,000 students on the main campus. An Adult Degree Program that helps adults finish their bachelors degrees in several disciplines is available on the main campus, in Goldsboro, and in Morrisville, N.C. Wesleyan offers bachelors degrees in 21 majors. About 40 percent of students come from outside North Carolina. U.S. News & World Report has ranked North Carolina Wesleyan as one of the most diverse liberal arts colleges in the South. ### |
