Rocky Mount, N.C.—The courtyard at the entrance to North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Dunn Center for the Performing Arts was officially named Bailey Plaza in a ceremony on March 27. Bailey Plaza honors the memory of Nathan Thomas Bailey and Eva White Bailey, whose family were generous benefactors of the College. The Baileys founded Tom Bailey Motors, Inc., in Rocky Mount. Several members of the Bailey family were present for the plaza dedication.

Wesleyan President Ian Newbould said, "The Baileys and their family have been generous donors to the College. Their generosity was vital to helping the College in many very significant ways. Recognition of their support and that of members of the Bailey family is overdue, and I am pleased that we can honor them with this tribute to their long-standing dedication to Wesleyan."
