Dr. Thomas O’Connor, North Carolina Wesleyan College justice studies professor, and Wesleyan justice studies major Anasha Godley won a total of five awards in competitions at the American Criminal Justice Association’s Region V Annual Conference in Tallahassee, Florida. The conference was hosted by Florida State University.

O’Connor took first place in the professional division for physical agility and for police administration, second place in juvenile justice, and third place in the corrections category. Godley took third place in the lower division competition for academic testing in juvenile justice. She is a senior justice studies major from Washington, North Carolina, and is vice president of Wesleyan’s Lambda Kappa Beta chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association.
