October 16, 2002 North Carolina Wesleyan College To Host Domestic Violence Vigil Rocky Mount, N.C.North Carolina Wesleyan Colleges Greek Council and My Sisters House are co-sponsoring a Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, October 24, from 7 8 p.m. in Powers Recital Hall in the Dunn Center on the Wesleyan campus. The program is free and open to the public, and will include messages from Meredith Holland, executive director of My Sisters House, and Desmond Sykes, president of Wesleyans Greek Council. An abuse survivor will read a personal story, Wesleyans Club Dramatica will read a poem, and the Wesleyan Choir will perform "A Broken Wing." The program will close with the lighting of candles. ### |
