North Carolina Wesleyan College To Host Domestic Violence Vigil

Rocky Mount, N.C.—North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Greek Council and My Sister’s House are co-sponsoring a Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, October 24, from 7 – 8 p.m. in Powers Recital Hall in the Dunn Center on the Wesleyan campus. The program is free and open to the public, and will include messages from Meredith Holland, executive director of My Sister’s House, and Desmond Sykes, president of Wesleyan’s Greek Council. An abuse survivor will read a personal story, Wesleyan’s Club Dramatica will read a poem, and the Wesleyan Choir will perform "A Broken Wing." The program will close with the lighting of candles.
