December 10, 2001 North Carolina Wesleyan College Awards Frank L. Mock, Jr. Scholarship Rocky Mount, N.C.Jamanda Gunter, recipient of the Frank L. Mock, Jr. Scholarship at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, was honored at a recent reception at Wesleyans Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. She is a senior English major from Washington, D.C. The Mock Scholarship was established in 1999 by the Queen Street United Methodist Men to honor Frank L. Mock, a Kinston educator who served a total of 44 years as a teacher, coach, principal, and assistant superintendent of Kinston City Schools. N.C. Wesleyan is an independent, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The College offers bachelors degrees in 22 majors on the main campus in Rocky Mount. It also offers an Adult Degree Program specially designed to help working adults finish their bachelors degrees in several disciplines on the Rocky Mount campus and at sites in Raleigh, Durham, and Goldsboro. # # # |
