N. C. Wesleyan College Honors Scholarship Recipient from Enfield

Rocky Mount, N.C.—North Carolina Wesleyan College recently honored Krystall Pittman (right), of Enfield, at a scholarship reception at the College’s Dunn Center for the Performing Arts.

Pittman received the Corbitt B. Rushing Scholarship, established in 1993 in memory and honor of Corbitt Rushing, a professor of politics at Wesleyan for 24 years. Pittman is pictured here with Mary Rushing, widow of Professor Rushing, and her father, Calvin Pittman. Her mother is Dail Pittman. Krystall is a senior at N.C. Wesleyan and is majoring in political science, with a minor in biology.

N.C. Wesleyan College is an independent, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The College offers bachelor’s degrees in 22 majors on the main campus in Rocky Mount. It also offers an Adult Degree Program specially designed to help working adults finish their bachelor’s degrees in several disciplines on the Rocky Mount campus and at sites in Raleigh, Durham, and Goldsboro.
