Cawley to Head N. C. Wesleyan’s Raleigh Adult Degree Program

Rocky Mount, N.C.—Dr. Martha B. Cawley has been named executive director of North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Adult Degree Program in Raleigh. Cawley formerly served as director of Wesleyan’s Adult Degree Program in Goldsboro.

N.C. Wesleyan is an independent, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The College offers bachelor’s degrees in 22 majors on the main campus in Rocky Mount. It offers adult degree programs at the main campus and at teaching sites in Raleigh, Durham, and Goldsboro. At the Raleigh site, 4900 Waters Edge Drive, students may pursue a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, computer information systems, and justice studies, or take courses for personal interest and to upgrade skills.

As a former adult student herself, Cawley received a B.A. in art history from Eckerd College. She holds a master’s degree in education with a minor in museum studies from the University of New Mexico, an Education Specialist Certificate in Organization Learning and Instructional Technologies from the University of New Mexico, and an Ed.D. in Education Leadership, Higher Education Administration, from the University of Sarasota.
