N.C. Wesleyan College Hosts Raleigh’s "Artspace" Exhibit

Rocky Mount, N.C.—An exhibition of various kinds of art by more than 20 professional artists from Raleigh’s Artspace will open Friday, November 9, and run through December 16 in the Mims Gallery at North Carolina Wesleyan College’s Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibit will open at 7 p.m. with a reception in the Mims Gallery, where the public may meet the artists. Both the reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.

Artspace is a community of professional artists located in the historic City Market District of downtown Raleigh. Artists are selected for membership only after a rigorous jurying process by art professionals.

The mission of Artspace is to enrich the community by bringing together the artist, the creative process, works of art, and the public. Artspace has 25 working studios where artists can create, display, and sell their work. Visitors may talk with painters, jewelers, weavers, fiber artists, metal workers, photographers, and sculptors of clay, stone, and glass.

The Mims Gallery exhibit will include a variety of works in different art media, with styles ranging from realism to abstraction. Gallery hours are 9 – 5, Monday through Friday. For additional information, call (252) 985-5268.
