December 19, 2001 Nashville Woman Honored Among N.C. Wesleyan College Scholarship Recipients Rocky Mount, N.C.North Carolina Wesleyan College honored five recipients of the Don Scalf Scholarship, including Courtney Wormuth, a junior from Nashville, at a recent reception at the College. The Recipients are Matthew Zoll, a junior from Ephrata, Pa.; Jami Rich, a senior from Warrenton, N.C.; Courtney Wormuth; Jason Maurer, a senior from Boonville, N.Y.; Don Scalf; and Chonte Uptegrow, a senior from Nassawadox, Va. All are exercise science majors. The scholarship was established by Lloyd Nelson, a 1967 Wesleyan graduate, and other alumni to honor Don Scalf (second from right), former athletic coach and physical education professor at Wesleyan, who retired in 1998 after 36 years with the College. # # # |
