N.C. Wesleyan College Honors Tarboro Scholarship Recipient

Rocky Mount, N.C.—North Carolina Wesleyan College recently recognized three students, including Sandra Proctor, a junior accounting major from Tarboro, who received the Gravely Upper-Class Scholarship. The students were honored during a scholarship reception at Wesleyan’s Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. They are Jennifer Batts, a business administration senior from Nashville, N.C.; Katina Williams, a pre-medicine major from Rocky Mount, N.C.; and Sandra Proctor.

The Gravely Upper-Class Scholarship is made possible through the locally administered Gravely Foundation and is awarded to area students who have completed their first two years at Nash or Edgecombe Community College. Pictured here with the students is scholarship representative Lanny Shuff, of Rocky Mount, a certified financial planner and financial advisor at Legg, Mason, Wood, Walker, Inc. and a member of Wesleyan’s board of visitors.

N.C. Wesleyan is an independent, four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The College offers bachelor’s degrees in 22 majors on the main campus in Rocky Mount. It also offers an Adult Degree Program specially designed to help working adults finish their bachelor’s degrees in several disciplines on the Rocky Mount campus and at sites in Raleigh, Durham, and Goldsboro.
