Rocky Mount, NC – North Carolina Wesleyan College officials announced today they intend to award ten facility credits to non-profit organizations for use of the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts during the 1999 calendar year. Applications for the credits must be received by the Dunn Center director's office by October 15, 1998. Awards will be announced on November 9, 1998.

Facility credits will be awarded in amounts up to $500.00, to be applied to the rental cost of the Minges Auditorium at the Dunn Center. The purpose is to encourage greater community use and equal opportunity accessibility of the Dunn Center for the Performing Arts. The credits will be awarded to nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt status under Section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. Usually this status is 501(c) (3).

A limited number of organizations will be chosen to receive facility credits for projects that offer culturally enriching, quality programs of interest to the public. Preference will be given to applicants requesting use of the facilities during the summer months. Consideration will be given to available dates during the calendar year at the discretion of the Dunn Center Director.
