Fourteen at Wesleyan Inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa Society

Rocky Mount, NC -- During Founders Day, October 24, at North Carolina Wesleyan College, fourteen people were inducted into the national leadership honor society, Omicron Delta Kappa. These students, faculty, and staff from the college were recognized for their outstanding scholarship and leadership qualities.

Newly inducted members include students, Chad Eaton, Patrick Finn, Michael Ingerick, Caroline May, Kimberley Olsen, Winona Price, Preston Rouse, Heather Sherlock, Rob Simon, Michael Stewart, and Kelly Walters; alumna and staff member Chynna Bonner; and associate professor of English, Steve Ferebee and assistant professor of economics, Mel Oliver.

The basis for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa is achievement in scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social and religious activities, and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; and the creative and performing arts. Each new member has excelled and been recognized for outstanding performance in one or more of these areas.

These new members join an established and respected group of over 181,000 men and women in 229 active circles on college and university campuses throughout the United States.

Omicron Delta Kappa was founded in 1914 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
