#20 Everett Gymnasium

Welcome to the Home of the Battling Bishops!  Everett Gymnasium and the adjoining Taylor Center house the offices of the NCWC Department of Athletics and the Exercise Science faculty members. The main gymnasium seats up to 1,200 people and provides a great homecourt advantage for three of our Bishop squads:  men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and volleyball.

The men’s basketball team plays an aggressive, fast tempo game that makes it a threat to all opponents, while the Bishop women have combined with the men’s squad to capture 11 USA South Conference (formerly Dixie) regular season and/or tournament championships. The volleyball team also calls Everett home and consists of outstanding female athletes who not only are successful on the court, but are top-notch competitors in the classroom as well. The gym proudly displays numerous banners earned by our various Bishop athletic squads over the years.

Built in 1963, Everett underwent a $2 million renovation in 2004 and now houses the newly-constructed Taylor Center and Bishop Hall of Fame. This wing of the complex features an auxiliary gymnasium that can be used for a variety of activities including basketball, volleyball, and aerobics. The Taylor Center is also equipped with a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with free weights and several cardiovascular machines.

Students are welcome to use the Taylor Center gym and fitness center for pick-up games and/or intramurals.
