#2: Bellemonte House

Bellemonte House

Bellemonte House sits on your right just after you enter the main gate. This house is a fantastic example of Federal style architecture and was built in 1825. Originally, the old house sat just off campus in the woods behind the President’s House, but in 1988 Bellemonte House was moved onto Wesleyan’s campus and underwent a full restoration. Bellemonte House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is currently the site of the College’s Offices of Development, Public Relations and Alumni Affairs.
