Third Annual Shakespeare Birthday Cake Auction
to benefit the
Wesleyan Players Visiting
Artist Fund
Bid for any - or ALL - of this year’s
Cakes for Shakes
and
the premiums attached to them
-
Cakes will appear on the auction block – starting
on April 15th - with new Cakes added as
they are subscribed. Bidding will remain active through May 30th
.
- To see those shows, concerts, etc. for which
tickets or passes may be used – and to learn more about the respective
Sponsors, their locations, seasons, etc. – click on the link[s] on the
respective Cake page[s], and you will be ‘transported’ to that
Sponsor’s website [where available].
- Money raised by the Cake Auction will be
added to the endowment for the Wesleyan Players Visiting Artist Fund
– to enable us to bring professional Theatre artists to campus to
work with students in classes and on productions.
- 10% of the money raised from the
auction of Cakes - sponsored by Theatres, Artists, or Entertainment
Organizations - will be forwarded to Broadway Cares – Equity Fights
Aids.
- To bid for any Cake in this year’s Auction,
follow the
registration link on the auction pages. Once registered, you will
be emailed a password which can be used to place bids. Then click
on any and all Cakes for which you would like to bid. Place bids as you
choose…then check your ‘mail’ for updates of bids on any and all Cakes.
You may return to the site as often as you choose – to bid on Cakes ‘of
interest’ – up to Midnight , Friday evening, May 30th.
- At the conclusion of the Auction , you will be
notified of the results – and the Cakes for which you are the successful
bidder. You will receive contact information and instructions for
redeeming your respective Cakes.
- Bid generously and bid often. You
will be vying for admission[s] to quality entertainment, helping build
an important funding source for the Arts and the College, AND
celebrating the life and legacy of William Shakespeare!

on any given cake... Just click on the respective ‘Cake’...
